Mid-Level Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a Mid-Level Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with a strong litigation background. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of defense litigation experience and must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.

Duties:

• Interact with clients to understand case requirements and provide legal advice
• Draft pleadings and discovery demands
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses
• Perform legal research on case law and statutes
• Draft dispositive motions and other legal documents
• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed

Requirements:

• 2+ years of defense litigation experience
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and strategies
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
• Substantive familiarity with the rules and procedures of the Pennsylvania Courts
• Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania
• Licensing in New Jersey, New York, or Delaware is a plus

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar
• Admission to the Bar of any additional state (New Jersey, New York, or Delaware) is advantageous
