Real Estate and Loan Origination Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Real Estate and Loan Origination Associate Attorney for their Atlanta office. The Real Estate and Loan Origination Associate Attorney will serve as counsel to national financial institutions and assist clients with the design, establishment, and launching of new loan programs. The candidate must be experienced in real estate finance and capital markets, with a focus on representing traditional and non-traditional lenders in various transactions. This includes fixed and floating rate loans secured by commercial real estate such as apartments, retail centers, industrial properties, and other types of real estate. Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills are essential for this role. The candidate must be admitted to the state Bar of Georgia.

Duties:

• Serve as counsel to national financial institutions.
• Assist clients with the design, establishment, and launching of new loan programs.
• Handle real estate finance and capital markets matters.
• Represent traditional and non-traditional lenders in various transactions.
• Work on fixed and floating rate loans secured by commercial real estate.
• Handle transactions involving apartments, retail centers, industrial properties, and other real estate types.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on loan origination and real estate financing.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to real estate and loan origination matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in real estate finance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the state Bar of Georgia.
• 6+ years of meaningful experience in real estate finance and loan origination.
• Experience representing lenders in commercial real estate transactions.
• Strong understanding of real estate finance, capital markets, and loan programs.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-focused with a dedication to providing high-quality legal services.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admitted to the state Bar of Georgia.
