Duties:

  • Open new files and initiate initial client contact, maintaining regular communication.
  • Conduct thorough investigations for each case, analyzing intake information and relevant documents and entering data into the database.
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies throughout the process.
  • Manage clients' medical care, including scheduling appointments, explaining procedures, and communicating with medical providers.
  • Continuously monitor case status, review medical records, and organize case files for submission to demand writers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Possess basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Worker's Compensation law.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work on the phones for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia or eligibility for admission.
  • Any additional certifications related to Worker's Compensation law are a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
