A law firm in Charlotte is currently seeking a skilled Structured Credit and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in securitization or structured finance. Prior work experience with private credit or CLOs is advantageous, and experience in a large law firm setting is strongly preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on structuring, negotiating, and documenting structured credit and collateralized loan obligations transactions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertaining to securitization and structured finance matters.
  • Draft, review, and revise transaction documents, including offering memoranda, indentures, and related agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel and support to clients throughout all stages of structured finance transactions.
  • Stay abreast of pertinent laws, regulations, and industry developments affecting structured credit and CLOs.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
  • 4-6 years of experience in securitization or structured finance.
  • Prior experience with private credit or CLOs is considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in a large law firm environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong academic record.
