Associate Attorney - Personal Injury and Employment Law

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Costa Mesa, CA office. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team specializing in personal injury and employment law. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional with a strong legal background and excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties

• Draft personal injury demand letters to third parties and insurance companies.
• Prepare and serve demand packages and legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Attend court appearances, both remote and in-person.
• Draft motions, oppositions, and discovery documents.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in personal injury and/or employment law.
• Experience in civil litigation, including discovery and court appearances.
• Knowledge of legal office operations and pre-litigation processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar.

• Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in legal research tools.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
