Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney for their Seattle, WA office. The associate attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, participating in discovery, and representing clients in court proceedings. The successful candidate will have 3-6 years of experience, preferably with large firm or clerkship experience.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of complex litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
• Participate in all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, and conducting document review.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar or ability to waive in.
• 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on complex commercial litigation.
• Experience with e-discovery tools and document management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Washington State Bar or ability to waive in.
