Job Overview:

The Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney will handle compensation claims, including file review, legal analysis, research, client representation, and trial preparation. Duties:

• Conduct file reviews and perform legal analysis of workers’ compensation claims
• Conduct extensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs
• Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours
• Represent clients at depositions and hearings regularly
• Prepare for trials and attend as necessary
• Retain and evaluate expert witnesses as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation; experience in other practice areas is a plus
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Georgia; admission in other states is advantageous
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid research abilities and exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and collaborate effectively within a team
• Prompt responsiveness to e-mail and phone inquiries
• Excellent client skills and telephone manner

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school
