Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Associate Attorney will be a crucial member of deal teams, responsible for managing various aspects of transactions, from due diligence to closing. The ideal candidate will have 4 - 7 years of experience in complex finance transactions, focusing on sponsor-backed leveraged finance. They should be proficient in representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents across various finance transactions.

Duties:

  • Participate as a key member of deal teams, handling fundamental aspects of transactions.
  • Manage due diligence processes thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Assist in drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as required.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients throughout the transaction process.
  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

  • 4 - 7 years of experience in complex finance transactions.
  • Substantial experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance is preferred.
  • Experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in finance transactions.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing in NC.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of North Carolina.
