A law firm in Boston is seeking a Private Equity Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team to assist with M&A/private equity (PE) data and experience input and maintenance. This role requires strong drafting, communication, organizational skills, and expertise in private equity law. The Private Equity Resource Attorney will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of the private equity practice, including drafting template documents, monitoring legal and regulatory developments, and coordinating with internal teams for associate training and firmwide promotion efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of private equity transactions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams within the firm.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with M&A/PE data and experience input and maintenance
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing precedent of template documents
  • Curate and organize the PE group's forms, precedents, and other know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relative to PE practice and the firm's core industry verticals
  • Develop and maintain an internal landing page for the PE group
  • Coordinate with the firm's legal education team to prepare content for associate training
  • Strategize with the PE/M&A marketing team on firm PE promotion efforts
  • Work with the quantitative analyst group on matters specific to PE funds and transactions
  • Field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Be involved in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice
  • Mastery of private equity law and knowledge of industries regularly advised by the firm
  • Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with M&A, portfolio company management, partnership-based equity compensation, acquisition financing, corporate matters, and financial transactions
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and interpersonal skills

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
