Fund Formation/Investment Management Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Fund Formation/Investment Management Associate Attorney to join their Boston, MA office. The Associate Attorney will play a vital role within the Fund Formation & Investment Management (FFIM) Practice Group, contributing expertise in fund structuring, management, compliance, and client interaction.

Duties:

• Lead fund formation initiatives, including structuring and management
• Negotiate side letters and secondary sales agreements proficiently
• Ensure compliance with the Investment Advisers Act regulations
• Draft and review complex legal documents with precision and sophistication
• Manage intricate projects and transactions effectively

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Bar of relevant jurisdiction(s)
• 2-5 years of experience in fund formation and investment management
• Strong document drafting skills
• Comfortable engaging directly with senior partners and clients
• Positive attitude, exceptional work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills
• Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Education & Certifications:

• JD from an ABA-approved law school
• Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdiction(s)

Skills:

• Solid fund formation and investment management experience
• Proficiency in fund and management structuring
