Duties:

  • Provide legal advice on personal injury issues through comprehensive legal research and analysis.

  • Develop personal injury cases by reviewing investigative findings, consulting with experts, and completing the discovery process.
  • Prepare legal briefs and develop strategies, arguments, and testimony for personal injury cases.
  • Maintain case progress by enforcing productivity and quality standards and resolving operational problems.
  • Resolve cases through settlement, mediation, arbitration, or trial prosecution, planning, organizing, and presenting arguments and evidence.
  • Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, redesigning processes, and implementing changes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor is from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission is in good standing at the North Carolina State Bar.
  • Admission to the South Carolina State Bar is preferred to those in good standing.
  • 10 years of plaintiff's litigation experience in North Carolina.
