A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Junior/Mid-level Employment Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing employment-related support for corporate transactions and drafting employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements. They will also conduct workplace investigations and counsel clients on a wide range of employment-related issues, including disputes and negotiations. Experience with mediation, restrictive covenant litigation, and other employment litigation is a plus. The candidate should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. MA Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly is required for this position.

Duties:

  • Provide employment-related support for corporate transactions.
  • Draft employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
  • Conduct workplace investigations.
  • Counsel clients on various employment-related issues, including disputes and negotiations.
  • Assist with mediation, restrictive covenant litigation, and other employment litigation as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong background in employment law and corporate transactions.
  • Experience in drafting employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Admission to the MA Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in employment law and corporate transactions.
  • Legal drafting skills for employment and separation agreements.
  • Ability to conduct workplace investigations.
  • Strong counseling and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in mediation, restrictive covenant litigation, and employment litigation is a plus.
