A law firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of real estate transactional experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and financing. They should exhibit confidence and ease in daily client interactions, possess exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrate superior communication abilities. Applicants must be currently licensed in the US and in good standing in North Carolina or eligible to waive in. Excellent academic credentials and superior writing skills are required.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support to clients in various real estate transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements, contracts, and documents to ensure legal compliance and client objectives.
  • Conduct due diligence, title examinations, and property assessments to identify and address potential legal issues.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with clients and maintain a heightened level of detail orientation throughout the legal process.
  • Represent clients' interests in negotiations and interactions with opposing parties.
  • Stay updated with real estate laws, regulations, and market trends to provide clients with accurate legal advice and strategies.
  • Prepare and present legal opinions and research findings to clients.
  • Attend meetings, hearings, and other proceedings to advocate for clients' interests.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of real estate transactional experience.
  • Confidence and ease in daily client interactions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior communication abilities.
  • Current license to practice law in the US and in good standing in North Carolina or eligible to waive in.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active US law license.

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate law and related legal principles.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting real estate documents.
