A law firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Real Estate Investment and Development Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in various aspects of real estate law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, real estate joint ventures, and/or development and redevelopment. The candidate should possess solid academic credentials, demonstrate expertise in sophisticated real estate law, exhibit attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a strong work ethic. Additionally, the candidate must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have a desire to work collaboratively within a national practice.

Duties

  • Handle corporate leasing matters, including negotiating and drafting lease agreements.
  • Manage real estate portfolios, ensuring efficient and effective portfolio performance.
  • Oversee construction-related legal issues, providing guidance on contracts and disputes.
  • Facilitate property acquisition and disposition processes, from due diligence to closing.
  • Handle legal aspects of real estate financing and investment transactions.
  • Negotiate and draft agreements related to real estate joint ventures.
  • Assist in the legal aspects of real estate development and redevelopment projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate leasing, portfolio management, construction, property acquisition and disposition, real estate financing and investment, real estate joint ventures, and/or development and redevelopment.
  • Strong academic credentials with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
