Litigation Partner or Senior Counsel

Raleigh office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a litigation partner or senior counsel with 7 years of litigation experience. The candidate must be a Current member of the North Carolina Bar with litigation experience in North Carolina federal and state courts. Should preferably be a self-starter capable of managing an active litigation caseload and experienced in drafting and preparing pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents; managing discovery, including taking/presenting witnesses for deposition, oral argument, and trial preparation; conducting legal research, analysis, and writing; and will possess excellent oral advocacy, communication, and writing skills. First-chair experience is a plus.

The candidate should have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have excellent academic credentials. Excellent legal research and analysis skills are needed. The ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and the Firm needs change is essential. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required. The ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team is needed. Should have the ability to develop relationships and foster teamwork at all levels of the Firm. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion needed. The ability and confidence to identify and analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions/solutions is essential. Agility to respond to unexpected challenges, including proactively developing innovative solutions to complex problems while maintaining a professional demeanor, is required. Must have the ability to maintain composure and demonstrate good judgment.
