This position requires a background in investment management and fund formation and will play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of the Investment Funds team. The ideal candidate should possess an entrepreneurial spirit and strong interpersonal skills, as this role involves direct client contact and demands business development acumen.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support for investment management and fund formation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the growth of the Investment Funds team.
  • Engage directly with clients, offering guidance and addressing client inquiries and needs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including fund agreements, offering documents, and regulatory filings.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the investment management and fund formation sector.

Requirements:

  • A background in investment management and fund formation is a requirement.
  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance matters within the investment management industry.
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Possession of an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong commitment to team growth and success.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective client and colleague engagement.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
