Transactional/Investment Team Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Transactional/Investment Team Associate Attorney for their Charlotte office.

Job Overview:

The Transactional/Investment Team Associate Attorney will represent lenders in lending transactions, alternative investment vehicles in debt and equity investments, and private equity fund investors in control and growth equity investments. They will work across the capital structure, representing both equity and debt investors, as well as portfolio companies in acquisition, sell-side, and financing activities. Strong academic performance and interpersonal skills are required for success in this role.

Duties:

• Represent lenders in lending transactions
• Advise alternative investment vehicles on debt and equity investments
• Counsel private equity fund investors on control and growth equity investments
• Work across the capital structure, representing equity and debt investors
• Assist portfolio companies in acquisition, sell-side, and financing activities
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of transactional experience
• Experience in finance or corporate transactions preferred
• Excellent academic performance
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Admission to the State Bar in the relevant jurisdiction

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
