Litigation And Business Attorney

A law firm in Moorestown, NJ, is seeking a Litigation and Business Attorney who will represent clients in civil litigation cases.

Job Overview:

The Litigation and Business Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and providing legal guidance to clients. They will manage multiple cases simultaneously and collaborate with other legal professionals to develop case strategies.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation cases
• Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support legal arguments
• Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
• Conduct depositions and other discovery processes efficiently
• Attend court hearings and trials to present cases and argue on behalf of clients
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey
• Proven experience in civil litigation, including trial experience
• Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices related to litigation
• Proficiency in conducting legal research using Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective legal drafting and courtroom presentations
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound legal strategies
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing legal documents and conducting research
• Experience with commercial litigation, contract drafting, and/or employment law is a plus.
