Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned Litigation Attorney with a strong foundation in trial skills and a comprehensive understanding of litigation procedures.

Job Overview: The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation matters, developing litigation strategies, conducting motion practice, managing discovery processes, and providing legal counsel throughout the litigation process. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills and exhibit the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of clients.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including trials, hearings, and mediation
• Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to individual cases
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case arguments
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on case developments and obtain necessary information
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate

Requirements:

• 10+ years of practical experience as a Litigation Attorney
• Strong trial skills, including litigation strategy, motion practice, and discovery
• Demonstrated ability to effectively advocate on behalf of clients
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven track record of success in handling complex litigation matters
• Some existing client bases preferred
• Membership in the Washington State Bar Association or eligibility for reciprocity
• A California State Bar license is a plus

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Washington State Bar Association
• Admission to the California State Bar (preferred)
