Job Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Advise corporate clients on a broad spectrum of employment-related issues, including compliance with federal and state laws
  • Represent employers in workplace litigation, administrative hearings, and labor arbitrations
  • Provide strategic counsel regarding employee relations, workplace policies, and risk mitigation
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies
  • Manage matters related to discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, and leave management
  • Defend clients in matters before regulatory bodies, such as the EEOC and state labor departments
  • Support clients in traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining and union negotiations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams on multi-jurisdictional employment strategies

Requirements:

  • 4 years of dedicated labor and employment law practice
  • Admitted to practice and in good standing with the CA State Bar
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Comfort working in a hybrid office arrangement (remote and in-person as needed)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (mandatory)

Skills:

  • Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Effective oral advocacy and negotiation abilities
