A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds, with experience in secondary transactions, separately managed accounts, and carry vehicle structuring.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in investment fund matters, including fund formation, structuring, and transactions.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence related to investment fund activities.
  • Draft and review legal documents, agreements, and contracts pertaining to investment fund transactions and operations.
  • Collaborate with clients, lawyers, and third parties to facilitate investment fund processes and transactions.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, legal professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality work products and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage workload, meet deadlines, and perform tasks efficiently and responsively.
  • Engage in various activities, including digital/virtual meetings, conference calls, and on-screen work at a computer.

 

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Illinois.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in investment fund matters.
  • Experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC.
  • Strong academic background with excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail and good business judgment.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and colleagues.
