Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience to join its practice group in San Francisco. This role involves building a practice, creatively collaborating with clients, and providing effective legal solutions in employment law matters.

Location:

  • San Francisco, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation, including court appearances and depositions.
  • Handle single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits, particularly in wage and hour matters.
  • Draft and manage:
    • Motions to compel arbitration
    • Discovery requests and responses
    • Oppositions to motions for class certification
    • Long-form settlement agreements in wage and hour class actions
    • Separation agreements, offer letters, arbitration agreements, and PIIAs
  • Conduct labor due diligence on M&A transactions.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the California bar.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in employment law.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills.
  • Proven experience in employment litigation and client counseling.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California bar required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in handling complex employment law issues.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Experience with both single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits.
