Commercial And Real Estate Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Commercial and Real Estate Litigation Attorney for its New York City office. The successful candidate will handle various legal matters related to commercial and real estate litigation.

Job Overview:

The Commercial and Real Estate Litigation Attorney will primarily handle drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and appeals and representing clients in State and Federal Courts and mediations. The role requires diligence in matters concerning the purchase and sale of notes and mortgages. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, management experience, and exceptional legal research and writing capabilities.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and appeals
• Represent clients in State and Federal Court appearances and mediations
• Conduct diligence related to the purchase and sale of notes and mortgages
• Manage legal matters efficiently and effectively
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various commercial and real estate litigation issues
• Handle all aspects of case management, including client communication, court appearances, and negotiations
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff as necessary
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in commercial and real estate litigation

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of solid experience in commercial and real estate litigation
• Admission to the New York Bar (New Jersey admission is a plus)
• Experience in real estate litigation is highly preferred
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes effectively
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and prioritizing skills
• Effective communication and writing skills for client contact
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar Association
