Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Real Estate Capital Markets Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience in various aspects of real estate law, including commercial foreclosure, commercial finance, real estate litigation, lender liability claims, receiverships, and CMBS transactions. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials, excellent research, writing, and communication skills, and must be admitted to the New York Bar.

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of real estate capital markets transactions.
  • Provide legal support and guidance on commercial foreclosure proceedings.
  • Assist in commercial finance matters, including loan origination, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Represent clients in real estate litigation cases, including landlord-tenant disputes, boundary disputes, and title issues.
  • Manage lender liability claims and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Oversee receiverships and related legal matters.
  • Participate in CMBS transactions, including due diligence, drafting, and negotiation of transaction documents.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in commercial foreclosure, commercial finance, real estate litigation, lender liability claims, receiverships, and CMBS transactions.
  • Admission to the New York Bar.
  • Strong academic background with a JD from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with real estate capital markets terminology and practices.
