Job Overview: A law firm in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a skilled Plaintiff Trial Attorney with substantial experience in personal injury trials. Duties:

  • Represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Depose witnesses, including corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts.
  • Conduct pre-trial preparation and strategy sessions.
  • Advocate for clients during trial proceedings.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff on case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
  • First chair plaintiff personal injury trial experience.
  • Extensive deposition experience, particularly with corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and juries.
