Job Overview:

The Trial Attorney Manager will provide guidance and direction on litigation matters, overseeing activities such as pleadings, discovery, and depositions. They will maximize case value through thorough trial preparation and effective team management, utilizing advanced software tools.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for litigation activities, ensuring adherence to legal standards and best practices.
  • Manage trial lawyers and trial teams, offering mentorship, coaching, and support throughout the trial process.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Utilize sophisticated software to streamline team management and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of trial strategies with overall firm objectives.
  • Conduct regular case reviews and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure quality representation.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends relevant to trial practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of trial experience, with a preference for personal injury trial experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing plaintiff or defense litigation.
  • Experience in managing trial lawyers and trial teams, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire.
  • Strong understanding of leadership and management principles.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
