A law firm in Irvine is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in counseling employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to employers on ERISA and non-ERISA employee benefit plans.
  • Advise clients on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and other benefit arrangements.
  • Draft and review plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other legal documents related to employee benefits.
  • Assist with compliance matters related to ERISA regulations and other relevant laws.
  • Handle client communications and negotiations related to employee benefit matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as an Employee Benefits Attorney.
  • Expertise in counseling employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the California Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Extensive experience counseling employers on employee benefit plans.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and compliance requirements.
