Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its Washington, DC, location. The Litigation Associate Attorney must have previous litigation experience and the ability to develop and nurture client relationships. An interest in government is desired. The candidate must possess a DC Bar license or be eligible for waiver-in. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of litigation cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, conferences, and depositions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage case deadlines and priorities.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience at a law firm, DOJ, or similar experience.
• Previous litigation experience is a must.
• Ability to develop and nurture client relationships.
• Interest in government affairs.
• DC Bar license or waive-in eligibility.
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the District of Columbia Bar.
