A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have some exposure to advising corporate clients on labor and employment matters, possess the ability to work independently and demonstrate expertise in various aspects of labor and employment law.

 

Duties:

  • Provide day-to-day client counseling on hiring, employment agreements, shareholder agreements, terminations, non-competes, wage and hour laws, FMLA, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, COBRA, HIPAA, personnel policies, handbooks, and workplace investigations.
  • Work independently with clients and collaborate with other attorneys in the firm.
  • Gain exposure in advising corporate clients on labor and employment matters.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in jury trials and traditional labor law practices.
  • Engage in successful client development and marketing activities.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Excellent academic background education.
  • Demonstrated professional expertise in the field.
  • Exposure to advising corporate clients on labor and employment matters.
  • Preferred experience in jury trials and traditional labor law practices.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws.
  • Ability to independently counsel clients on a wide range of employment-related issues.
  • Excellent client development and marketing skills.
  • Proficient in jury trials and traditional labor law experiences.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with clients and internal teams.
