The Junior to Mid-level IP Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in the firm's Intellectual Property practice. This position requires a strong foundation in patent prosecution, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a range of tasks related to intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on chemical engineering and organic chemistry.

Duties:

  • Conducting patent prosecution activities for clients in the chemical engineering and organic chemistry sectors.
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex technical documents and legal issues related to intellectual property.
  • Collaborating with clients, attorneys, and staff to develop comprehensive patent strategies.
  • Managing confidential information with discretion and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of in-house or law firm patent prosecution experience.
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.S.), Chemistry (Ph.D.), and/or Organic Chemistry (Ph.D.).
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Ph.D. in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
