A law firm in Knoxville, TN, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Family Law, Immigration Law, Bankruptcy, or Corporate Litigation, along with proficiency in legal drafting and research. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for negotiating and drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, writing legal briefs and motions, representing clients in court, and providing legal administrative support to senior attorneys. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment in Knoxville, TN.

 

Duties:

  • Negotiate and draft legal documents for various practice areas, including Family Law, Immigration Law, Bankruptcy, or Corporate Litigation.
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Write legal briefs, motions, and other documents.
  • Represent clients in court and litigate cases.
  • Provide legal administrative support to senior attorneys.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Family Law, Immigration Law, Bankruptcy, or Corporate Litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and research.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis research platforms.
  • Litigation experience or a strong desire to litigate cases.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Tennessee.
