Lateral Associate Attorney

A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Lateral Associate Attorney who will have the opportunity to retrain as an employment lawyer. The ideal candidate should have experience in civil litigation and a strong desire to transition into employment law. The Lateral Associate Attorney will provide legal advice and representation in employment law matters, including both advisory and litigation work. The role requires a strong academic background, with a preference for individuals who performed in the top third of their class. Previous civil litigation experience, including discovery and motions practice, is essential. Experience in trial or arbitration, as well as familiarity with billable hours, is highly desirable. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.

Duties:

• Transition from a background in civil litigation to employment law.
• Provide legal advice and representation in employment law matters.
• Engage in both advisory and litigation work in the employment law field.

Requirements:

• License to practice law in the state of Washington.
• Strong academic performance, with preference given to candidates in the top third of their class.
• Prior experience in civil litigation, including discovery and motions practice.
