Associate Attorney - Public Entity Labor and Employment

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for their Public Entity Labor and Employment Practice Group in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, particularly within the public sector, and demonstrate the ability to manage cases with minimal supervision.

Duties

• Handle labor and employment matters for public and private clients.
• Prepare cases for trial or arbitration, including participation in proceedings.
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes.
• Draft motions, including those for summary judgment.
• Support senior attorneys with legal advice and memorandums.
• Interface with clients to discuss legal and strategic issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Experience with public sector clients preferred.
• Knowledge of public sector labor laws and collective bargaining.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop and execute litigation plans.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
