Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Employment Group. This position will focus on cross-border and global employment counseling, working across multiple offices. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice on corporate transactions, reductions in force, employee terminations, restrictive covenants, employee mobility, and general employment law matters. Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and provide legal advice on the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise on workforce restructuring, including reductions in force and employee terminations.
  • Draft and counsel on restrictive covenants and employee mobility issues.
  • Provide legal guidance to emerging companies on various aspects of employment law.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in different offices to support a global employment practice.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international).
  • Experience with a direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred.
  • International counseling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Good business judgment with a pragmatic approach to employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to influence others and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
