Job Overview: The Insurance Mergers And Acquisitions Associate Attorney will handle legal matters related to mergers, acquisitions, and similar transactions within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate should possess 3-6 years of legal experience in transactional matters, with a preference for experience in the insurance sector. The role requires significant deal experience, the ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently, and the capacity to produce top-quality work with minimal supervision. Excellent writing and analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties:

  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to insurance mergers and acquisitions.
  • Drafting and reviewing transactional documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Providing legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on transactional matters.
  • Participating in negotiations and due diligence processes.
  • Assisting with the integration of acquired entities post-transaction.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends affecting insurance mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar, or eligibility to waive into the DC Bar.
  • 3-6 years of legal experience in mergers, acquisitions, and similar transactional matters.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of handling significant deal volume and managing multiple transactions concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and securities law.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington, DC Bar, or eligibility to waive into the DC Bar.
