Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Entry-Level Foreclosure Attorney responsible for efficiently managing foreclosure cases, communicating with clients, and representing the firm in court proceedings. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Duties:

  • Read loan documents meticulously to identify missing documents and address client concerns.
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients.
  • Turn around work promptly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Begin preliminary work on files upon receipt and generate responses within a 24-hour.
  • Review title work promptly, identify issues, and recommend resolution to clients.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in court for foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, and related matters.
  • Cure title issues promptly.
  • File complaints on notes or sue guarantors as necessary.
  • Review various legal documents, including title examinations, pleadings, and foreclosure documents.
  • Write, review, and edit reports, opinions, and correspondence.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local laws and analyze case law to provide recommendations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt to change.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed analytic experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to foreclosure proceedings.
