Duties:

  • Prosecution experience at a firm or in-house, with a focus on portfolio management
  • Conducting patent analysis/opinions of counsel and IPRs (Inter Partes Reviews) is a plus
  • Embracing new skills and best practices as the position evolves and the firm needs to change
  • Managing time and deadlines for various ongoing projects
  • Working independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Developing relationships and fostering teamwork at all levels of the firm
  • Managing confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion
  • Identifying and analyzing issues, making decisions, and initiating actions/solutions
  • Being adaptable and flexible when faced with unexpected changes

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house
  • Strong knowledge and solid experience in video processing and video codecs
  • Familiarity with video coding standards
  • Experience in virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus
  • Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
