A law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of meaningful experience in real estate, focusing on Affordable Housing and Tax Credits. The ideal candidate must possess excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communication skills. Additionally, candidates must be a member (in Good Standing) of the Florida Bar or be willing to seek admission to the Florida Bar.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in real estate transactions, particularly in the areas of Affordable Housing and Tax Credits
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and leases
  • Conduct due diligence reviews of title and survey matters
  • Negotiate and draft easements, leases, and other real estate documents
  • Assist with the structuring and financing of affordable housing projects
  • Handle closings and facilitate the transfer of real property
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance issues related to affordable housing and tax credit programs

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Member (in Good Standing) of the Florida Bar or willingness to seek admission to the Florida Bar
  • 2-4 years of meaningful experience in real estate law
  • Strong background in title and survey matters
  • Knowledge of easements, leases, and real estate transactions
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Membership (in Good Standing) of the Florida Bar
