Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic litigation practice in the Nashville, Tennessee office. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney with a minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, preferably with a background in insurance defense. Location:

Duties:

• Review new case files and determine strategic action plans and budgeting

• Identify and fulfill pleading requirements; delegate tasks to legal support staff

• Draft and respond to discovery requests and manage document production

• Attend and conduct depositions, hearings, and related discovery activities

• Report case developments and recommendations thoroughly

• Negotiate settlements and obtain necessary authority

• Prepare cases for trial when appropriate

• Maintain ongoing communication with paralegals and legal assistants

• Support the firm’s mentorship initiatives and leadership development

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience

• Prior experience in insurance defense strongly encouraged

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads independently

• Proven track record of high-level client service and legal strategy execution

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Tennessee (required)
