Global CEO of Dentons, Elliott Portnoy, stated that the establishment of offices in the British Virgin Islands and St. Lucia will enhance Dentons' ability to serve clients in two key Caribbean markets. He also emphasized the firm's commitment to linking clients with its top talent worldwide.

Global Chairman of Dentons, Joe Andrew, added that despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the firm is committed to executing its strategy of expanding across the Latin America and Caribbean region. With offices in 25 countries, Dentons is now present in virtually all of Latin America and the Caribbean, providing a unique advantage to clients.

Jorge Alers, Latin America and Caribbean Region CEO of Dentons, stated that the new offices in the British Virgin Islands and St. Lucia complement the firm's strategy to enhance its offshore practices in the Caribbean, as well as in other offshore financial and corporate centers, including Panama, Uruguay, Mauritius, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

The British Virgin Islands office is led by partner Stuart Bruce, who has significant experience in cross-border matters related to Banking and Finance, M&A, Private Equity, Joint Ventures, Corporate and Regulatory advice. In St. Lucia, Dentons offers expertise in several areas, including Banking and Finance, Corporate, Construction, Employment and Labor, Financial Institutions, Government, Hotels and Leisure, Insurance, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Public Law, and Real Estate.

In 2020, Dentons launched several combinations, including Dentons Bingham Greenebaum and Dentons Cohen & Grigsby, as part of its "Project Golden Spike," aimed at creating a national law firm in the United States.
