Fisher Phillips Adds Virginia Wooten in Charlotte
Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Virginia Wooten joins as an associate in the firm’s Charlotte office.
Twice recognized by Super Lawyers as a North Carolina Rising Star and recently recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of their 2021 40 Under 40 honorees, Virginia focuses her practices on employment law, counseling clients on a wide range of issues related to internal and administrative investigations, contract disputes, workplace safety, and employee relations. She is also an experienced trial lawyer with has who has litigated cases of wrongful termination, negligence, breach of contract, and alleged violations of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, NCWHA, and REDA in both federal and North Carolina state courts. She has also worked on appeals to the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of North Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Virginia holds a B.A. in history from Davidson College and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law where she served as executive editor of the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology.
