Keating Muething & Klekamp Welcome Edward I. Rivin
Rivin assists public and private entities in the tax and business planning areas. Utilizing his background in accounting, Rivin’s goal in servicing his clients is to distill the complex and ever-changing tax rules into practical business advice. On the tax side of his practice Rivin counsels individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and 501(c)(3) organizations through the complex world of tax planning. He also represents clients with tax controversy matters before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. Rivin also has extensive experience with Ohio property tax law and has appeared before many Boards of Revision across Ohio. On the corporate side of his practice, he counsels clients on various considerations of business formation, corporate governance, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and business exits.
Prior to joining KMK Law, Rivin was an associate at a prominent U.S. law firm with a significant presence in the Midwest. Rivin earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, cum laude, in 2020, and his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business, summa cum laude, in 2017. Rivin is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky.
