Shutts & Bowen Welcomes Matthew J. Meyer to Tampa Office
Practicing in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration panels, Meyer represents large and mid-sized companies, small businesses and entrepreneurs. He assists businesses in Florida and beyond through legal challenges and disputes.
Meyer holds a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, is a graduate of Bradley University, and clerked for U.S. Senator Connie Mack in Washington, D.C. Among his community involvements, Matt serves on the J. Clifford Cheatwood American Inn of Court.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt to our ranks,” said Tampa Managing Partner R. Alan Higbee. “Matt is an exceptionally talented commercial litigator who is very well known in Florida’s legal circles and will bring our clients a tremendous level of skill and experience across a wide range of sectors.”
The Tampa office of Shutts is undergoing a substantial expansion, both in attorney ranks, as well as office space. To accommodate clients and the growing attorney team, the Shutts Tampa office recently added a second-floor attorney and client networking and collaboration area with an adjoining outdoor terrace.
“Shutts & Bowen has a century-deep reputation for providing extraordinary service to clients,” Meyer said. “I am thrilled to bring my practice to a firm that not only prioritizes the needs of my clients, but is also well-established in the Tampa Bay area.”
