Ice Miller Welcomes Immigration Partner Ken Robinson

Ice Miller LLP is pleased to welcome Ken Robinson to the Firm as a partner in its Labor, Employment and Immigration Practice Group. Senior counsel Donald Slowik, associate Radha Desai and paralegals Dayna Boes and Hayden Hayes have also joined the Firm and will work with Ken to serve clients’ immigration needs.

Ken represents clients on a wide variety of employment-based immigration matters, including labor and family-based issues relating to H, L, E, TN, O, P visas, green cards, foreign investment and employer compliance. His client base is comprised of start-up entities; Fortune 500 companies; engineering, design and architecture firms; universities; allied health care institutions; foreign investors; athletes; and entertainers.

Primarily, Ken counsels his clients on temporary and permanent immigration options and strategies to help them secure highly sought-after foreign national talent. He also advises employers on I-9 compliance matters.

“Ice Miller has a strong tradition of providing solutions to our clients’ workplace needs, including their need to attract the best talent from across the globe. We are thrilled to have Ken and his talented team join the Firm,” said Michael Tooley, chair of Ice Miller’s Labor, Employment and Immigration Practice. “Their expertise will not only strengthen our practice group, but it will also give our existing clients increased access to immigration counsel within the context of a full-service Firm that can meet all their employment and other legal needs.”

In addition to his immigration practice, Ken acts as an advisor and sports agent to athletes playing elite hockey in development leagues and in the National Hockey League (NHL). Ken is one of fewer than 100 U.S.-based agents certified by the NHL Players Association as a player representative.

Previously, Ken served as a partner and chair of the Immigration Practice Group at a national law firm. He has also served as Special Counsel to the State of Ohio on immigration matters.
