Eversheds Sutherland appoints Andrew Duckworth as Energy Partner
Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Andrew Duckworth as a Partner in its Global Energy practice.
Andrew joins from Chevron Products Company, a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc., where he was Senior Counsel in the Supply & Trading business unit, based in Houston, Texas. He brings more than 13 years’ experience in the energy and commodities sector, working in both private practice and in-house environments. Throughout this time, Andrew has advised on a number of key areas including transactional, regulatory, compliance and contentious mandates across the life-cycle of domestic and international commodities trading, transporting, terminalling, storing, refining and financing. His experience also spans numerous projects and matters in North and South America, the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia.
In addition, Andrew will draw on his experience and knowledge of the US market to help create and open up further transatlantic and global opportunities within the sector.
Before moving in-house, Andrew practiced within Reed Smith’s Energy & Natural Resources practice. He will be based in Eversheds Sutherland’s London office.
Also joining Eversheds Sutherland is James Cottrell, who joins the Global Energy Practice as Legal Director, from MFB Solicitors. James worked alongside Andrew at Reed Smith and advises on shipping and supply chain logistic issues, as well as physical energy trading matters.
