Greenberg Traurig Expands Minneapolis Litigation Practice with Addition of Nicole Narotzky and Thomas Pack
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its Litigation Practice with the addition of Nicole E. Narotzky and Thomas R. Pack as shareholders in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nicole and Tom to Greenberg Traurig as we continue to grow the firm’s presence in Minneapolis to meet significant client demand,” said Michael B. Fisco, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Minneapolis office.
Both Narotzky and Pack, who join the firm from Maslon LLP where they were partners, have significant experience in products liability litigation, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
“With the exponential growth we are experiencing in our Products Liability & Mass Torts Practice and Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Practice, it is key for Greenberg Traurig to continue to add legal talent like Nicole and Tom to serve our clients well,” said Lori Cohen, vice chair of Greenberg Traurig and co-chair of the firm’s Global Litigation Practice and Trial Practice. “Having worked with both of these highly-skilled attorneys on matters in the past, we have seen that they share the firm’s strong commitment to client service and excellence in law.”
Narotzky centers her practice on products liability litigation, with a focus on developing and overseeing strategy related to complex medical and technical issues. She defends major medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in federal and state courts throughout the country. Narotzky has significant experience with the issues of federal preemption and regulatory control over claims involving FDA-approved medical devices.
“Greenberg Traurig’s strong reputation for products liability litigation defense and attorney collaboration across local, national, and global markets and sectors makes the firm an extremely attractive environment to grow my practice,” said Narotzky, who earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Minnesota Law School, and her B.A. from Brown University.
Pack focuses his practice on pharmaceutical and medical device products liability matters and complex business litigation, including litigation related to tribal nations. He has extensive experience litigating cases involving FDA-regulated medical devices and the application of federal preemption to product-liability claims. He maintains an active pro bono practice, with an emphasis on representing asylum seekers fleeing persecution due to LGBTQ+ sexual orientations and/or gender identities.
“Having access to a global platform where I can grow my practice and serve clients wherever and whenever needed is extremely important to me and one of the most important reasons I joined the firm,” said Pack, who earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School, and his B.A. from East Central University. “In addition, Greenberg Traurig’s commitment to pro bono, justice, and philanthropy was a big draw for me, given my own personal focus on providing pro bono representation in the civil rights and immigration law fields.”
