Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, announced the addition of Thomas Lidbury to their firm. Lidbury will join as a shareholder in their Indianapolis office. He will also lead their E-Discovery and Records Release practice group. He joins from Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP where he was partner and co-chair of the E-Discovery practice group.

Lidbury will focus on developing records retention/information governance programs for the firm’s clients. Indianapolis managing shareholder Todd Kaiser said, “Tom deeply understands the effects of E-Discovery regulations on employers facing class actions in our digital age.”

He is also a founding member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program Committee and co-chair of their Principle Development Subcommittee. His expertise in E-Discovery had led to his publishing of a number of pieces and providing counsel to international companies. His practice includes litigation involving ERISA, data breach class actions, consumer class actions, civil rights, insurance coverage, securities, medical and pharmaceutical devices, franchise, mass torts, and banking.

Lidbury earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and his B.A. from the University of Chicago.
