DLA Piper announced the addition of two partners in the Dallas office. Jason Lewis and Jason Hopkins are joining the law firm’s Litigation practice. They join from Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Co-chair of DLA Piper’s global and US Litigation practice Loren Brown said, “Jason and Jason are talented trial lawyers with considerable experience in high-stakes criminal and civil matters. They immediately enhance both our growing litigation team in Dallas and our trial bench nationally.”

Lewis is a former enforcement attorney with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which handles civil and criminal regulatory investigations and litigation matters. He will focus on SEC enforcement, government investigations, internal corporate investigations, white collar criminal defense, crisis management, FCPA matters, securities litigation, and business disputes.

Hopkins will focus his practice on securities litigation, such as defending civil and criminal investigations and lawsuits brought by the FINRA, SEC, IRS, DOJ, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, state attorneys general, and state securities agencies.

Managing partner Marc Katz added, “These additions will enhance our growing platform in Dallas, a crucial market for many clients, as we continue to expand there and across the state. They bring strong reputations as high-caliber individuals and attorneys who have a phenomenal litigation and regulatory investigation practice. We are extremely excited to welcome them to the firm.”

Lewis earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. Hopkins earned his J.D. from the College of William and Mary and his B.A. from the University of Mississippi.
