Dykema Adds Two New Attorneys In Dallas

Dykema strengthened its Dallas office with the addition of two attorneys. Richard Y. Cheng and Rick A. Daniel joined the rapidly growing office.

Dykema has added 11 attorneys to the Dallas office in the past eight months, a growth so substantial that the national law firm had to get additional office space in the Comerica Bank Tower. Dykema’s Dallas Office Managing Member Chris Kratovil said, “We continue to expand in North Texas, including by adding top legal talent focused on health care and corporate transactions. We are very excited to add both Richard and Rick to our growing roster of attorneys in DFW.”

Cheng will join the Health Care Practice Group where he can focus on corporate transactions, administrative appeals, regulatory and compliance matters. With extensive experience in health care law, especially in post-acute care continuum, management service organization, community hospitals, physician groups, pharmacies, wellness providers, clinical labs, therapy clinics, regulated products providers and other ancillary healthcare providers, Cheng will be a strong addition.

Cheng earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, a B.S.O.T/M.O.T from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a Graduate Certificate of Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a B.A. from The University of Texas at Dallas in Biology. He is working on an M.B.A. from The University of Memphis.

Daniel will join the law firm in their Corporate Finance Practice Group. He is experienced in transactional areas of commercial debt finance in commercial real estate finance, complex commercial transactions, and commercial real estate. His experience includes working with lenders, borrowers, developers, and other clients in various industries.

Daniel joins from Polsinelli PC where he was a shareholder in their financial services and real estate practices group. He was also a partner with K&L Gates LLP in their Banking and Asset Finance practice group and their Real Estate Investment, Development and Finance practice group. He earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
