Buchalter welcomed Carrie Gallagher, a former Deputy County Counsel to the Office of the County Counsel in Napa Valley, to their Litigation practice group in Napa Valley. Gallagher was the Deputy County Counsel for 13 years before joining the law firm.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Buchalter Adam J. Bass said, “I’m thrilled Carrie has joined us in Napa Valley on the heels of other exciting news including the firm’s involvement in the recent sale of Duckhorn Winery. Carrie will be a tremendous value-add to our winery, wine broker, and vineyard management clients in the region.”

While serving as Deputy County Counsel, Gallagher served various county agencies through proceedings and has developed expertise in drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, subpoenas, agreements, and ordinances. She also has experience in civil trial experience with things like appeals and bench trials.

She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Buchalter’s latest work in the region includes representing Bank of the West with the financing of the acquisition of Duckhorn Wine Company by TSG Consumer Partners. Buchalter has developed a reputation with the wine industry, even opening a fifth office in the St. Helena/Napa Valley areas and adding two experienced professionals last year. Shareholder James Rose was recently elected as Vice President of the Napa County Bar Association and will serve as President in 2018.
